Sweet, pretty, soft and silky are goods words to describe this shirt from the 1950s. Matching embroidery and trapunto on the front. Buttons up the back. Short sleeved with cuffs. Gentle gathering at the shoulders and darts for fullness and fit.

It does not happen often, but I have found an adverstisement at news.google.com/newspapers, archives which shows this very same blouse from September, 1957. This model is called "Bijou" and the advertisement talks about the wonderful bon-silla fabric - "Couldn't be silkier if it were silk" and "Seldom needs an iron - drip dries - resists wrinkles".
